Assignment for 2/3/15: Kapitel 4: Mein Tag

Read and study A, B, p. 113

Listen to C, p. 113. Audio is available here on the Online Language Lab:  The user name is: german and password is:  ccsf

Read Sprach-Info, p. 113

Thema 1, p. 114.  Read and study, Die Uhrzeit

Read: Sprach-Info, pp. 114 and 116

Listen to Akt. 1, p. 115 and circle answers

Read Analyse, p. 115, be prepared to review Akt. 2 in class. 

Akt 3, p. 116, be prepared to say the various times

Akt 4: fill in times for the various activities.  You will give the answers in terms of hours, "Stunden" (die Stunde).  See the Beispiel in Schritt 3.  Schritt 2 will be done in class.  It is helpful if you already have at least 5 questions written out to ask a neighbor. 

Grammatik im Kontext: 

Pp. 124-125, read about separable prefix verbs and the sentence bracket 

Listen to Übung 1, p. 126 and circle correct answer

Übung 2: Write 5 sentences describing "Was Daniel Macht".  

Übung 3 will be done in class. 

 P. 127, Übung 4.  Write sentences 1-9, comparing your daily routine with Daniel, Lilo, and Hans. 

Übung 5.  Be prepared to complete in class by writing 4 sentences answering the questions posed at the arrows.  



PP. 128-129, read and study "Modal Auxilary Verbs".  Note that the plural forms are formed regularly, as is the "du" form.  Only the "ich" and "er, sie, es" forms are different from what you are already familiar with.  

Read Sprach-Info, p. 130.

P. 130, Übung 6.  Write the correct answers

Übung 7, be prepared to complete in class

Listen to Übung 9 and check correct answers 

Übung 10, write at least 8 sentences. 

Übung 12.  Write the correct answers. 


After completing this assignment, begin workbook and lab manual, Kap 4.  For 1B students: both will be turned in on the evening of the final, 9/23, for 10B, the lab manual assignment will be due.
